Reception had a fantastic day at the Washington Wetland Centre. We did lots of different activities while we were there and learnt about lots of different animals. We went on a mini beast hunt in the forest and found lots of different creepy crawlies. Next we went pond dipping and used a net and magnifying glass to look for different animals. After that we were allowed to feed the birds and some of them even ate out of our hands! After our lunch we were allowed to play in the park which was great fun!

Daniel – ” A flamingo’s feathers are pink because they eat salmon and it is pink. The pink starts at their tails and goes up there back until it reaches their head.”

Joshua – ” I enjoyed feeding the birds. They ate out of my hand!”
