Marvellous Maths Morning

We had a great turn out on a gloriously sunny day for our Marvellous Maths Morning on Thursday! Lots of parents and carers joined the children from all classes to take part in the many maths challenges and activities set up both inside and out. Take a look at the photos below.

Some of the outside activities included:

  • Hunt through the trees for numbers, shapes and coins – adding, finding factors and prime numbers, vertices etc
  • Paper plane making and throwing to see how far they would fly
  • Water capacity estimating and guessing which container held the most water
  • Hook a duck and adding numbers together
  • Making butterflies with natural materials, creating a symmetrical pattern

Some of the indoor activities included:

  • Beebots
  • Numicon
  • Target golf – adding and subtracting scores
  • Many crafty maths activities

We thank everyone who came along for this event. All the staff worked really hard to make it as fun and interesting as possible.
